Xavier Granell Oteiza

La seua recerca aprofundeix en les connexions entre republicanisme popular i revolució en el context de l’imperi espanyol de mitjan segle xix. La tesi se centra en les mobilitzacions que van emergir tant al nucli de l’imperi com a les colònies del Carib i Àsia al voltant de l’any 1868. Xavier Granell is a pre-doctoral researcher in the Department of History at the European University Institute (Florence). His research delves into the connections between popular republicanism and revolution within the context of the Spanish empire during the mid-19^thcentury. His thesis is focused on the mobilizations that transpired in both the empire’s core and its colonies in the Caribbean and Asia circa 1868.
