The “Analytical study of the repertoire registered in Book 51 of the Montevideo Comedy House (1814-1818): repercussion of the Madrid theater activity in the River Plate basin” refers us to the knowledge of the relationship between Spain and Montevideo through the works that, in their different genres of theater and music, appear listed in a manuscript originating from the Ex Archivo Administrativo de Montevideo. As objectives we propose to study the data provided by Book 51 in its different parts (Cargo and Data. Inventory (s)) and to know the profile of the repertoire of Spanish theater works, from different periods, phases, genres and authors contained in one of Inventories, as well as titles represented in the season from August 1814 to February 1815 of the same origin. In the season, 47 different titles of theatrical genres were represented with the participation of music, by renowned authors of the Spanish Golden Age and especially from the 18th Century Theater in Madrid within the trends of neoclassical theater and, mainly, of the so-called popular theater. To identify the titles and corresponding authors, phases and trends, we started to search for publications with primary data that would allow their recognition based on the criteria of identical or almost identical, complete or incomplete titles. We transcribe all the data in the respective tables and the titles with the corresponding information from the published sources. The analysis was carried out using the concept of polyphony through dialogue with the sources and authors consulted to delimit the type of relationship between all these voices and the circulation of this repertoire. The results obtained provide an adaptation of this term based on the polyphonic characteristics of this dialogue; a review of the claims about neoclassicism as a predominant trend according to some Uruguayan authors and the relationship of theatrical activity in this Coliseum with the role of the theater as an institution and the repercussion, or not, of this repertoire on the ideals of Independence or on the conception of the theater as a center of fun or entertainment.
