The UB Josep Termes Chair in Digital History, Identities and Humanities was created in 2012 and is attached to the Department of History and Archeology. It is directed by Dr. Agustí Colomines i Companys. It promotes research, the training of research staff and the transfer of knowledge to foster dialogue between the humanities and technology. The Chair promotes research in history, the configuration of digital identities and humanities to provide a career for humanities graduates (history, philosophy, philology, linguistics, art history, archeology, political science, music, librarianship and documentation). , sociology and cultural studies, among others). The researchers of the Chair elaborate scientific contents for the current information society. The Josep Termes Chair hosts the Research Group on National Studies and Cultural Policies (GRENPoC), made up of historians, sociologists and political scientists, and recognized by the AGAUR, GRPRE 2017 SGR 1098. In addition, it publishes the scientific journal Digital Humanities within the RCUB platform.
