The Group of Electroanalysis has two laboratories:

Electrochemical and optical instrumentation

• 2 CompactSTAT multipotentiostats (Ivium technologies) with 4 channels controlled by IviumSoft software (Ivium technologies).
• 1 PGSTAT12 bipotentiostat (Ecochemie) with GPES 4.4 software (Ecochemie).
• 1 compact PGSTAT204 Autolab potentiostat (Ecochemie) equipped with a MUX – Multiplexer module, which allows sequential electrochemical experiments in multiple cells or with multiple working elèctrodes by using NOVA 1.2 software.
• 1 μAutolab potentiostat (Ecochemie) with GPES 4.4 software (Ecochemie).
• 2 μSTAT 200 bipotentiostats (Metrohm Dropsens) with Dropview software (Metrohm Dropsens).
• 1 SPELEC spectroelectrochemical system (Metrohm-Dropsens) equipped with a REFLECELL reflection probe (Metrohm-Dropsens) and a transmission probe (model 300-RT-UV-VIS) for fiber-optic measurements by immersion in liquids (Ocean Insight)
• 1 DH-2000 UV-vis light source with both tungsten and deuterium lamps (Ocean Insight).

Liquid chromatography (LC) and flow injection analysis (FIA)

• 1 Agilent 1200 Series HPLC instrument equipped with a degasser (G1322A), a quaternary pump (G1311A), an autosampler (G1329A), a UV-vis diode array detector (G1315B) and a personal computer to control the HPLC system with the Agilent Chemstation software, all from Agilent Technologies (PaloAlto,CA,USA).
• 1 Agilent Infinity 1260 liquid chromatograph equipped with a quaternary pump VL with a vacuum degasser integrated (G7111A), a UV-vis detector (G1314B) and a manual injector (G1328C) controlled by an instant pilot (G4208A), all from Agilent Technologies (PaloAlto,CA,USA).
• Several HPLC cell units for screen-printed electrodes (patented by the UB group and licensed to Metrohm-Dropsens) and two BASi CC-5E flow cells for solid electrodes (BASi) for amperometric detection. All these detectors can be coupled to the Agilent 1200 and Agilent Infinity 1260 systems to replace or complement UV detection.
• 2 peristaltic pumps Gilson and 2 FIA injectors, compatible with the aforementioned potentiostats and the units of the cell patented by the group.

Additional equipment

• Spin coater WS-650Mx-23NPPB (Laurell).
• ULTRA-TURRAX T18 digital disperser (IKA).
• KDS Legato™ 110, single syringe infusion/withdraw pump.
• Stereomicroscope Euromex Stereoblue SB.1903-U (Duiven, The Netherlands) with Euromex VC.3031 HD Lite camera attached to the stereomicroscope.
• Automatic burettes (Metrohm).

The group has also diferent instruments and electrodes for conductometric and potentiometric measurements, as well as different connectors and cells for working with screen-printed electrodes.
