Gabriel Leiva Rubio has a Diploma in Theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (2016). He has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Havana (2019). He was a professor of Philosophy and Aesthetics at the University of the Arts of Cuba (ISA) (2019-2021). He completed the Master in Contemporary Thought and Classical Tradition at the University of Barcelona (2022). He is currently a predoctoral researcher in training (FI-SDUR 2023) of the Doctorate in Contemporary Philosophy and Classical Studies of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona.

His research interests revolve around Philosophical Anthropology, German Idealism, contemporary thought and ethics. Under the direction of Josep Maria Esquirol Calaf, his doctoral research focuses on analyzing the concept of Nostalgia in contemporary philosophy and developing a metaphysical understanding of this concept.
