Short bio

In 2010, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. In 2011, I started the Master's in Cognitive Social Therapy at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), which got me involved in research that led to obtaining a Master’s in Research in Behavior and Cognition at UB (2013). In 2016, I completed a Ph.D. in Personality and Cognition at the same university. I have done research stays at Claremont Graduate University and at The University of Manchester. At the moment, I hold a position as researcher at Universidad de Las Américas in Quito, Ecuador, where I am adapting to an Ecuadorian context several questionnaires used as outcome measures in psychotherapy, as well as investigating the process of identity change after several health issues. My research interests are focused on understanding the inter and intrapersonal construction processes in psychotherapy, as well as their role in physical and mental health.
