On February 14, 2025, the new Head of Philology Studies was elected during an Extraordinary Session of the Board of Studies

Dr. Natalia Judith Laso Martín, from the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and English Studies, has been appointed as the Head of Philology Studies and will continue her role as the coordinator of the Bachelor's degree in English Studies.

The teaching coordination team will include:

• Dr. Mar Cortés Timoner, who will maintain her position as coordinator of the Bachelor's degrees in Hispanic Philology and Romance Languages and Literatures.

• Dr. Wendy Elvira García, as coordinator of the Bachelor's degrees in Catalan Philology and Linguistics.

• Dr. Salvador Iranzo Abellán, who will continue as coordinator of the Bachelor's degree in Classical Philology and will also assume the role of coordinator for the Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Literatures.

• Dr. Bernat Padró Nieto, who joins as the coordinator for the Bachelor's degrees in Literary Studies and Arabic and Hebrew Studies.

This new team is committed to enhancing the academic quality and coordination of the Philology programs at the Faculty of Philology and Communication.
