The UB community has selected Baleriia, Las Amigas de lo Ajeno, and Nina Barceló, students from the Faculty of Philology and Communication, and La Laie as guest artists to perform their songs at the Vespres d’Estiu

The second edition of the SonaUB music contest has its winners, and soon we will get to know the emerging talent from the Faculty.

  • Baleriia (a student of the Faculty of Philology and Communication): She began making music in 2022 in Barcelona, where she wrote her first song Wonder. Baleriia combines influences of jazz with R&B and neo-pop.

  • La Laie (a student of the Faculty of Chemistry): A self-taught producer combining R&B, jazz, and other urban styles. She has composed soundtracks, performed on various stages, and won the Prebarrakes del Clot award in 2021.

  • Las Amigas de lo Ajeno (a student of the Faculty of Philology and Communication): An autoproduced musical project that elegantly and conceptually fuses different genres. In 2024, they released their first EP, Tramando el complot, and are currently working on their first album: Bizarre bazaar.

  • Nina Barceló (a student of the Faculty of Philology and Communication): She fuses pop with jazz and soft-rock. In 2023, she released Espill in Catalan. In 2025, she launched her debut album ROISSY, standing out for her lyrics and unique stage performance.

All of them will be the guest artists performing at the Vespres d’Estiu concerts, which this year will take place on July 8, 10, 15, and 17 at the Historic Building.
