Modern language courses

Knowledge of foreign languages is essential in today’s society and helps students in their university studies and in their future job searches.

The UB’s School of Modern Languages (EIM) provides the opportunity to study over 15 languages from beginner to advanced level and offers general, specific and international exam preparation courses.

Students can study common EU languages such as German, English, French and Italian, as well as non-EU or less widespread languages, such as Russian, Japanese, Arabic, Danish, Greek, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish.

To ensure that the programs are accessible to students, EIM courses have a wide range of timetables and are taught on all UB campuses in face-to-face format. Some languages are also taught in blended learning mode.

UB students and other members of the university community pay a special discounted price for these courses.

Every academic year, around 4,500 students enrol on the EIM’s general, specific and exam preparation courses in order to enrich their additional education.
