The Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy Unit of the UB joins the Community Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Care Forum
The Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy Unit of the UB, led by the professor Eduardo L. Mariño, from the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the Faculty of Pharmacy, joined the Community Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Care Forum, an organization created by the Spanish General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists.
The Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy Unit of the UB, led by the professor Eduardo L. Mariño, from the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the Faculty of Pharmacy, joined the Community Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Care Forum, an organization created by the Spanish General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists.
The main objectives of the forum are to contribute to the implementation of the pharmaceutical care services (prescription, indication and pharmacotherapeutic follow-up) in community pharmacy to prepare, then, the basis for a new professional role of current chemists, completely focused on caring those patients who need or use drugs. Other entities which compose the forum are the Spanish General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists, the Pharmaceutical Care Foundation, the Spanish Society of Community Pharmacy (SEFAC) and the Research Group on Pharmaceutical Care of the University of Granada.
To achieve its aims, the forum maintains the agreement signed and the homogeneity of the procedures established on the projects, supports the maximum spreading of the services of pharmaceutical care in order to be implemented in community pharmacy and promote the collaboration among the organizations of the group.
