The European project inHERE (Higher Education Supporting Refugees in Europe), in which the University of Barcelona takes part, held, from April 16 to 20, a training week at La Sapienza University of Rome.

During this meeting, higher education institutions and entities that work with refugee people exchanged experiences, testimonials and other resources regarding the access to university and the socioeconomic integration of refugees, which can be read in this website. Among those resources are the experiences the University of Barcelona presented: the Support Program for Refugees and People Coming from Conflict Areas and the Protocol for the access and admission of students with international protection into bachelor, master and UB-specific degree studies.

Co-funded by the European Union, through the Erasmus+ program, the inHERE project aims to create opportunities to ease the refugeesʼ access and integration into the European Higher Education Area.

This project is coordinated by the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED), in which the University of Barcelona takes part, as well as the European Universities Association (EUA), la Sapienza University of Rome, and Campus France. The UN Refugee Agency (ACNUR) is an associate member of it.
