The Professor Manuel Serra Domínguez Chair on Studies of Procedural Law has been constituted. Created with the aim of promoting research and the improvement of teaching quality of procedural law, the new chair is a recognition to Manuel Serra Domínguez, professor of Procedural Law, who passed away five years ago. He carried out almost his entire academic career at the UB, with an important international outreach.

The Professor Manuel Serra Domínguez Chair on Studies of Procedural Law has been constituted. Created with the aim of promoting research and the improvement of teaching quality of procedural law, the new chair is a recognition to Manuel Serra Domínguez, professor of Procedural Law, who passed away five years ago. He carried out almost his entire academic career at the UB, with an important international outreach.

 

The first topic of research of this chair will be the community public order. It will also launch a teaching innovation project with the aim of carrying out legal simulations. Among other initiatives, it will organize national and international expert meetings and will cooperate with research groups, preferably from the Faculty of Law of the UB, to apply for research projects in the Catalan, Spanish and European fields. Moreover, it will support doctoral theses and will promote publications on topics of interest.

The chair is affiliated at the Faculty of Law and sponsored by the Manuel Serra Domínguez Private Foundation.
