Agreement between the University of Barcelona and Fedefarma to promote training in Pharmacy
The rector, Joan Elias, and the president of Fedefarma, Vicenç J. Calduch, signed an academic and institutional collaboration agreement to promote projects of common interest to promote training for the future graduates in Pharmacy and improve the professional services for society. The signing of the new agreement, to be managed at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the UB, took place this Wednesday, March 6, in the boardroom of the Rectorʼs Office of the University of Barcelona.
The rector, Joan Elias, and the president of Fedefarma, Vicenç J. Calduch, signed an academic and institutional collaboration agreement to promote projects of common interest to promote training for the future graduates in Pharmacy and improve the professional services for society. The signing of the new agreement, to be managed at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the UB, took place this Wednesday, March 6, in the boardroom of the Rectorʼs Office of the University of Barcelona.
The new agreement will promote the organization of specific seminars for the courses of Management and Planning, Assistential Pharmacy, Pharmacoeconomy and Pharmaceutical Marketing, as well as in other areas related to Fedefarmaʼs activity, the main Catalan pharmaceutical logistics platform. This training offering will be focused on aspects related to the implementation of a health service at the pharmacy office, the marketing plan, the strategic plan and the command board, the supply chain, purchase optimization, and services of cardiovascular risk and programmes to quit smoking.
Technological innovation and pharmaceutical assistance
In the field of technological innovation, a new agreement will help students of the Faculty access IOFWin, pharmaceutical management program which provides administrative tasks from the selling points of the pharmacy offices. In this con text, students will get an insight of the knowledge and use of the computer software IOFNet and Bisualfarma, directly related to pharmaceutical management.
This agreement will also ease the organization of specific seminars -in the course on Management and Planning- to help optimizing the use of the management program and computing tools in several fields (professional services, Social Security turnover, management of customers and dispensation, formulation of pharmaceutical products, etc.).
The new agreement anticipates the institutional collaboration in the organization of seminars for several university master degrees, tutoring of EHEA bachelorʼs degree final projects, visiting facilities of pharmaceutical interest, and the creation of an external internship vacancy at the Department of Training and Professional Services in Fedefarma. The agreement will also promote the awards for the training environment in Pharmacy, with awards such as the Premis Fedefarma, Concòrdia Farmacèutica, PharmaNews and Research awards.
