Experience Saint George's Day at the UB!
This year, Saint Georgeʼs Day is the day after Easter Monday, which altered the schedule for the activities of the centers and faculties so that these take place during school days. Therefore, the activities for Saint Georgeʼs day at the UB will take place between April and May, almost a whole month of activities regarding the day of the rose and the book.

Book stands with the new volumes by Editions and Publications of the UB
On April 23, as the center of the program for Saint Georgeʼs Day, Editions and Publications of the UB will have a book stand in rambla de Catalunya with Provença street, and another in the Historical Building, in Gran Via, next to the Pati de Lletres. The stands, open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., will show the new publications and a wide representation of the books of the University of Barcelona. In rambla de Catalunya, some of the authors will sign their books on science, culture or current issues. Please check the times of the signatures.
On the occasion of Saint Georgeʼs Day, Editions and Publications of the UB offers a 40 % discount in all books of its catalogue for the PDI and PAS members of the UB.
La Primavera de la Llengua until May
Many of the activities for Saint Georgeʼs Day in the UB campuses are part of Primavera de la Llengua, organized by the Language Dynamization Network of the UB to promote activities related to Catalan language around the faculties.

- Apart fromthe activitats in Primavera de la Llengua 2019, this Faculty organizes the contest "Have you read Quixote?", which tests your knowledge on Cervantes' novel. This activity goes with a poetry reading of some extracts of the novel, the exhibition "Los libros de suertes" and the conference by Rosa Navarro: "Un juego prohibido: los Libros de suertes ¿Quiere usted jugar?".

- Mobile exhibition on damaged books, an activity included in the CRAI campaign #noemratllis del CRAI, to raise awareness on the need to keep books in good condition. This exhibition shows damaged and disappeared books from different CRAI libraries (24/4-16/5).

- Inspiraʼt is an activity organized on the occasion of the Year of the Periodic Table and Brossa Year. The "inspirations" are recommended to be in open-format and topic, but preferrably on science or related to Joan Brossa poetry (until 23/4).

- emBROSSAts Contest: organized as part of the Brossa Year, aimed at the university community. It aims to show details and curiosities of the life and work of Joan Brossa (during May).
