Editions and Publications of the University of Barcelona takes part in the 45th Buenos Aires International Book Fair, which takes place from April 23 to May 13. In order to share those works with higher outreach in one of the most important book fairs worldwide, the UB will be present in the pavilion of the Union of Spanish University Editorials (UNE) and the stand “Barcelona, Ciutat literària”, organized by the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and Institut Ramon Llull.

Editions and Publications of the University of Barcelona takes part in the 45th Buenos Aires International Book Fair, which takes place from April 23 to May 13. In order to share those works with higher outreach in one of the most important book fairs worldwide, the UB will be present in the pavilion of the Union of Spanish University Editorials (UNE) and the stand “Barcelona, Ciutat literària”, organized by the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and Institut Ramon Llull.

This year, Barcelona is the guest city in the fair, which is an opportunity to disseminate the reality of the Catalan capital and its culture in Latin America. Editions and Publications of the UB will exhibit a selection of titles on Barcelona written by university lecturers who present the city from different perspectives: Barcelona romantica y revolucionaria, by Celia Romea; Barcelona, ciudad de novela, by Marisa Sotelo; 150 anys de taules periòdiques a la Universitat de Barcelona, by Ramon Dilla and Maria Torras (ed.); Simetries de Barcelona, by Miquel Àngel Cuevas-Diarte, Melisa Pesoa and Estanislau Roca; Serrat, Llach i lʼefecte Dylan, by David Viñas; Arts i naturalesa, by Pere Capellà and Antoni Galmés (coord), and Walking the city. Barcelona as an urban experience, by Estanislau Roca, Inés Aquilué and Renata Gomes (ed.), with its translation into Spanish, Caminando la ciudad, among others.

Editions and Publications of the UB is also present at the UNE pavilion with thirteen titles selected by the Latin American suppliers, among which are El cronista de China, by Diego Sola; La ciencia en la literature, by Xavier Duran; La imagen faltante, by Pamela Martínez and Javier Gacharná; Legitimidad y acción política, by Norbert Bilbeny, and Muertes creativas en el cine, by Joan Marimón. The books of the University of Barcelona, together with the other university publishers, can be obtained in the UNE stand (Blue Pavilion, stand 317), where the Argentinian Jorge Waldhüter is. Editions and Publications of the UB has a supplier network around the American continent that enables a wide diffusion of its catalogue, and a growing presence, to be reinforced in the Guadalajara Book Fair (Mexico) from November 30 to December 8.
