Student of the University of Barcelona Francesc Almendros has been appointed ambassador at the European Studentsʼ Union (ESU), the entity that represents the students in institutions such as the European Union, the European Council, UNESCO and the Bologna Implementation Coordination Group. Almendros has been chosen by the Coordinator of Representatives of Students of Public Universities (CREUP), the only state organization that takes part in ESU.

The objectives in Amendrosʼ position are “to share opinions, debate them and work on them together with student representatives from other countries, and compare and analyse the implementation of the Bologna Plan in the different European regions of the European Higher Education Area”. Being appointed ambassador at ESU meant joining two passions for Almendros: international diplomacy and student representation.

Francesc Almendros, student of International Business at the Faculty of Economics and Business, notes he will have the chance to “develop university policies for which the students will be able to enjoy programs to complete their university experience”. Almendros was one of the thirty students in Spain who joined a training in entrepreneurship in the Boston Babson College with the business methodology Thought & Action® (ET&A™), through a grant from the program Babson Build Santander Universities Students.
