The 1st International Mobility Fair, organized by the UB on October 10, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., in the gardens of Col·legi Major Penyafort-Montserrat, will provide students with information on the different options they have regarding international mobility. About eighty European, American, Asian and even Australian universities have already shared the information to be offered at the fair, which will also hold talks on the mobility support offered by the UB services, as well as stands from other institutions. An activity program will bring a festive air to the fair: there will be a Kung Fu exhibition and Chinese traditional music performances, which will have an important presence as the invited country.

The UB will provide, coinciding with this fair, leaflets for each of the 27 centers with information on the different mobility agreements. UB students will find all the universities where they can study within a mobility agreement, organized under studies, countries and data of interest such as the language lessons are taught in.

The fair is divided into different spaces. The first one will welcome students, they will find leaflets organized by faculties and they can ask the staff about their doubts. There will be an information area for the International Mobility Counsellorship of the Barcelona City Council. Then, visitors can walk around the space dedicated to Europe and the space dedicated to the rest of the world. In both cases, they can check information on different universities, geographically organized. In collaboration with ESN Barcelona UB, the Erasmus student union, international students who are studying at the UB, known as the ambassadors, will answer questions and will offer talks.

There will be information on the mobility support offered by the UB services, from the Office of Mobility and International Programs to Language Services, the School of Modern Languages and the Doctoral School. The Fullbright Partnership will offer their grant program.

China, guest country

A fourth space will be dedicated to the guest country of this first edition of the fair: China. At the moment, the UB has signed agreements with 35 Chinese universities. Students can find the options they have if they wish to study in the Asian country. The Confucius Institute will have its own stand in this area of the fair, as well as China consular representation.

There will be a stage for ludic activities. Since China is the guest country, there will be a Kung Fu exhibition and Chinese traditional music performances as well as an area with Chinese food.
