No access requirements

The Gaudir UB courses, born in 2014, are regarded as “courses for the pleasure of knowing”, and aim for the participants to enjoy learning new things and expanding their knowledge for their own personal benefit. There is no requirement regarding previous university studies to register for the courses. Content of the courses is adapted and taught in a disseminating manner, so that these are understandable beyond previous training and competences of each student, without leaving aside the rigor and academic excellence from a training program of the University of Barcelona.

The teaching staff that teach these courses comes, largely, from the University of Barcelona and its research centers. At the end of the program, each participant who has accredited a minimum of 80% attendance, will receive a certificate from the institution. Also, the students of the University can ask for academic credits to be recognized.

The Gaudir UB courses have an affordable price and some collectives can use discounts. Neighbours from the areas in which the courses are held are part of this category as well as members of the UB community and some associations and entities.

Course features

These are face-to-face learning courses and are offered in the building of the Complementary Training Area of the University of Barcelona -in Casa Granell- as well as El Carme Cultural Centre, in Badalona, and in Torre de la Creu, in Sant Joan Despí.

The training offer includes courses in Catalan and Spanish. These courses, which have a length of 20 hours, are distributed into 2-hour weekly sessions, from January 13 to March 20, 2020. Therefore, they are not demanding since they do not last all year.
