Five students receive "la Caixa" grants to study postgraduate studies abroad

The award ceremony for “la Caixa” grantholders took place last May 28. Out of the 120 selected candidates in the 2018 call to study postgraduate studies abroad, five of them are UB students. The rector of the UB, Joan Elias, attended the ceremony, which took place in CaixaForum Madrid, and was presided over by the King and Queen of Spain. This is the thirtieth edition of the program.

The awarded students are Roberto Maura, student of a masterʼs degree in the London School of Economics; Gerard Ortín, student of a masterʼs degree on cinema in Gold Smiths University of London; Carlota Solà, PhD student of Anthropology at the University of Oxford; Marc Ibáñez, student of a masterʼs degree on International Relations at Yale, and Alejandro Izquierdo, who is carrying out his PhD on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto.
