The design Barcelona icònica is the winner of the contest Carpeta UB 2020-2021. It was submitted by the student Carla Ayza, student of Medicine, and it obtained about 1,500 votes. The design is inspired by Gaudíʼs floor tiles, a symbol of the city of Barcelona, and as the conditions and rules of the contest stated, the most predominant colors are blue, the institutional color of the University of Barcelona. This fourteenth edition of the contest received 76 designs, and the jury selected seven as finalists, which were voted by the university community. Given the exceptional situation caused by the closure of the UB buildings, this time the award ceremony will not take place as every year.
