The Univesity of Barcelonaʼs spin-off DBGen Ocular Genomics, founded by professors Roser González and Gemma Marfany, from the Faculty of Biology of the UB, has been selected in the third call of EASI-Genomics, a UN initiative to support innovative genomic projects. DBGen Ocular Genomics, specialized on the genetic diagnosis of inherited eye diseases, will apply long-read sequencing to solve complex genetic diagnoses in patients with retinal dystrophies.
