The Back to Sport! promo is back: exercise outdoors
UB Sports has opened the registration to subscribe to its services for the academic year 2021/2022. It starts with the new edition of the Back to Sport promo, aimed at all the UB students, which, for 200 euros, allows them to use the sports facilities and classes during the academic year, from September 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022.
Among the facilities in UB Sports are several courts to play sport outdoors: tennis, football, basketball, athletics, etc. Also, there are several spaces and facilities included in the promotion, such as rooms for classes (yoga, body balance, zumba and pilates, among others), which aim to tone the body up and keep a good physical condition.

Apart from these options, the Sports service organizes the UB teams, in which anyone can participate both individually and as a team. The University of Barcelona presents these teams to the University Championships of Catalonia of basketball, football, futsal, handball, rugby 7 and volleyball. The UB has obtained exceptional results in the University Championships 2021 and got the first position in the general medal display. Regarding individual sports, the University facilitates the studentsʼ participation in interuniversity championships that can be held every year, both in Catalan, national and international competitions, as well as the traditional race called Unirun.
Moreover, UB Sports is managing the University Leagues of Barcelona, which count on the participation of the seven universities in Barcelona (UB, UPC, URL, UIC, UAO, UPF and UVic-UCC). There competitions, in which the students build teams with the university colleagues freely, are ludic and are mainly of football 7, basket and mixed volleyball. The level is not important here. This academic year 2021/2022, the fees offer a great discount and for 350 euros per team, you can compete in one of these three sports. The fee includes the sports equipment.
The Back to Sport promotion is aimed at all the students of the University, regardless of their age, and it intends to guarantee the physical health of the members of the university community. Moreover, for bachelorʼs degree students, the participation in some of the activities involves the chance to obtain ECTS credits.
