Before coming to the Universitat de Barcelona/LOGOS for my PhD, I did a MA in Philosophy at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Campinas, Brazil, and a BA in Philosophy at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) in my hometown Fortaleza, Brazil. I have always been interested in issues around the intersection of the philosophy of language, mind and epistemology. My most current work is about indexical concepts. There, I defended the view that, as far as the concepts that we express by means of indexical expressions are concerned, it is really hard to assess when two people are expressing the same concept or not. Recently, I have been thinking really hard about metaphilosophical questions, such as about the nature of conceptual analysis and its relevance to philosophy. In order to have an account of philosophical disagreements and why they are so resilient, it is of utmost importance to understand what makes philosophy the discipline that it is and the nature of its methdology.
