    José Martínez studied Philosophy (Licenciado, 1992) and Mathematics (Licenciado, 1998) at the University of Valencia, where he got his Ph.D. in Philosophy (1999). In 2001-2003 he was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh and came to the U. of Barcelona in 2003 as "Ramón y Cajal " Researcher. Since 2008 he is Professor Agregat (Associate Professor) at the University of Barcelona. He works in philosohical logic and his main areas of interest are theories of truth, the liar paradox and many-valued logics.
