Tom Angier

MPhil. in Philosophy (University College London, 1995), PhD in Philosophy (University of Cambridge, 2001), PhD in Ancient Philosophy (University of Toronto, 2008). Tom Angier ha impartido clases de Ética y de Historia de la Filosofía en la University of Leeds, y actualmente es Research Fellow in Philosophy en la University of Kent (UK). Su experiencia docente incluye clases de filosofía griega, de ética analítica contemporánea, y de estética.

Lineas de investigación: 

Temáticamente me interesa la ética y la teoría política, mientras que históricamente, Platón y Aristóteles. Mi investigación actual se centra en la teoría aristotélica de la virtud. Estoy interesado en responder a la crítica situacionista de la ética de la virtud, como también en elaborar una crítica a las llamadas 'virtudes liberales' rawlsianas. Estoy preparando un artículo en el que pongo en relación la investigación contemporánea sobre la felicidad y Aristóteles, y otro en el que señalo las diferencias entre las concepciones antiguas y modernas del conflicto social.
