J.M. Bofill’s House, façade

Drawing of the façade of the house which Mr. Juan Manuel Bofill wished to build, Elias Rogent, 1 August 1860.

Residential building with a ground floor and four upper floors, designed by Elias Rogent for Joan Manual Bofill, at Carrer Ample, 23, on the corner of Carrer Carabassa, 21, in Barcelona. The façade is highly schematic and uniform. The main façade, on Carrer Ample, is large in size and reflects a symmetrical and centred composition with a large balcony running along the main floor. The remainder of the façade follows a uniform scheme that features an arrangement of balconies that diminish with height.
