On the morning of February 3, 1976, a massive pro-amnesty event took place at the Faculty of Law. On the same day, in the afternoon, a new dean took office, after five years of opposition from the Faculty to the appointment of the position since the Franco government. These events mark a new stage in the Faculty in the broader context of the transition to democracy that Spain was experiencing, after decades of dictatorship. Taking this milestone as a point of reference, the exhibition aims to remember what it was like to study, work and defend democratic values at the Faculty of Law during the Franco regime.
