Our research focuses on the computational study of conformational dynamics and allosteric networks to understand complex biological systems, including DNA–protein and protein–protein interactions, as well as enzymatic reactions at the atomic level. Our main goal is to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying these systems, with applications ranging from the design of biomolecules with tailored functions to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Currently, we are interested in:
- Design of inhibitors to bypass antimicrobial resistance mechanisms.
- Design of transcription factor-based biosensors.
- Enzyme engineering in the context of their biomedical and biotechnological applications.
