NEW COMMUNIQUE: CBUB statement on the importance and necessity of local ethical evaluation in International research

The Bioethics Committee of the University of Barcelona (CBUB) has published a statement highlighting that, in research projects conducted outside of Spain, it is required to request and obtain the corresponding local ethical review.

This procedure aligns with international best practices and helps ensure that the research is adapted to the legal, social, and cultural context of the host country, while also protecting the rights and well-being of participants.
