Next Thursday, April 24, at 18:30, we invite you to come and listen to the open conference, given by Dr. Vicente Enrique Montes Nogales, with the title: “The words that nourish every day: African oral manifestations to Europe”.

The event will be held in the auditorium of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (Girona Street, no. 20).

On Wednesday, March 19, postdoctoral researcher Ana González Navarro conducted an open seminar entitled “Recovering the Moroccan feminist memory: Women's prison writings” for the subject “Culture, Texts and Intertext”.

Last Wednesday, February 26th, within the compulsory course “Cultures, Texts and Intertext”, we counted with the presence of Gonzalo Fernández Parrilla to establish a dialogue around his book Al sur de Tánger.

On February 25, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a series of sessions, moderated by Professor Abdallah Tagourramt, were held on the theme “Linguistic dissidence: language as a factor of identity expression in the contemporary Maghreb”. Some of the speakers were: Asmaa Aouattah, Gonzalo Fernandez Parrilla, and Neus Tirado.

Next Thursday, February 13 at La Raposa, Alba Palau Centelles will present her book, De la clínica a l'escena. La reescriptura de la histèria a Portrait de Dora d'Hélène Cixous, with which she won the third edition of the Premis Teatre Lliure - UB.

Taught by Dr. Danae Fonseca, the seminar “Palestine through its cultural expressions” explores, throughout six sessions, the cultural expressions of Palestine in disciplines such as visual arts, literature, film, music, theater, and dance.

Next Friday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m., Marina Edith Fierro Concha will give a lecture open to the public in classroom 0.3 of the Josep Carner Building entitled “Duelo migratorio de mujeres venezolanas en Chile: narrativas desde el Maule” (Migratory mourning of Venezuelan women in Chile: narratives from Maule).
