The First Circular of the II International Congress of the Contemporary History Section “Herencias: Legacies” has just been published, which will take place from June 20 to 22, 2022.
Reinforcing the Bet Done Two years ago with the Organization of the first congress dedicated to “Aftermath: postwar”, the Section invites this time to reflect on the Continuity, the persistence and the legacies that carry over from the past.
The Approach is very broad: historians and historians with different historiographic positions are invited to participate, but they also want to cross disciplinary boundaries and generate synergies with the research carried out from the more general areas of the humanities and social sciences. Thus, the objective of the event was established from different starting points an open dialogue that allows mutual enrichment and deepening the knowledge of these very special and decisive historical situations from different methodological perspectives
The call intends to be inclusive, as well as fear what the origin and expertise do: people from all over the world will be welcome, both experts with a long history, as well as those who are at the beginning of an academic super career.
In this phase, and until September 30, 2021, the organizing committee of the Congress will receive, assess and accept the Proposals for the realization of different tables related to the study of the inheritances of the contemporary period.
People who want to propose tables will be able to write to the address
legaciesconference22@ub.edu Attaching a Word document with the main characteristics of the proposal that will include, together with the explanation of the table, the full name, institutional affiliation and the email address of the people who propose them.
Proposals will be received in writing in any of the three official languages of the Congress: Catalan, English and Spanish.
Deadline for the presentation of table proposals: September 30, 2021
