The book, published by Edicions UB, is an anthology of seventy fundamental texts from the Second Spanish Republic, which include speeches, laws, proclamations and institutional texts.
It is divided into nine parts, which deal with the major areas of that institutional experience: the advent of the Republic; republican general politics; the autonomic debate, the new military order; the religious question; educational reforms; educational reforms; agrarian and economic reform; social transformation and finally the anti-fascist commitment during the Civil War.
Each part has a small introduction to place the reader, a selection of texts with a bibliography as well as webgraphic references for those who want to consult more documentation. On the other hand, each party also has the image of one of the republican propaganda posters kept in the CRAI Library of the Pavilion of the Republic of the University of Barcelona, which has given its use for the occasion.
The book aims to be a useful tool for a diverse audience: study centers, academics, students and the general public, interested in contemporary history.
