Job Market
EALE is strongly committed to supporting early-career researchers. PhD students and recent postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to submit their work for presentation, and their submissions are evaluated under the same rigorous standards as those of senior scholars. Different key initiatives promote the visibility and career development of emerging talent:
- Job Market Sessions: PhD students who plan to be on the junior job market in the academic year 2026-2027 are invited to present their job market papers in dedicated job market sessions.
- Job Market Lunch: Job market candidates are invited to talk about their work and engage in informal discussions with senior scholars during a job market lunch. This session provides valuable feedback and networking opportunities that support successful placement in academic and research institutions.
- EALE Tour: Designed to highlight outstanding research by young scholars graduating from European institutions, this initiative selects three promising job market candidates who participate in the conference. After the job market season, these scholars take part in a tour of three leading European institutions, presenting their research and sharing their experiences on the job market with junior researchers.
