Labour Economics
The EALE Conference plays a pivotal role in advancing the visibility and impact of Labour Economics, the official journal of the European Association for Labour Economists (EALE), published by Elsevier. Labour Economics is devoted to publishing international research on empirical, theoretical and econometric topics that are of particular interest to labour economists. In particular, Labour Economics gives due recognition to solid empirical work with a strong economic interpretation.
The conference serves as a key platform for promoting the journal. Each year, a selection of papers presented at the EALE Conference is considered for inclusion in a dedicated Labour Economics special issue. These papers undergo a fast-track review process that maintains the journal’s high standards of peer review and academic rigor. In addition, the EALE Conference hosts the annual announcement of two major journal awards: the Best Reviewer Award, recognizing outstanding contributions to the peer-review process, and the EALE Labour Economics Prize, awarded to the best paper published in the journal during the previous year. These awards are sponsored by Elsevier and by EALE and underscore the conference’s role in fostering excellence in labour economics research and in strengthening the scholarly community around the journal.
