The EALE
The EALE Conference is an annual event organized by the European Association for Labour Economists (EALE). The Association was founded in 1989 in order to promote, out of general interest, the advancement of scientific knowledge in the field of labour economics in Europe and elsewhere. To this end, EALE is set up as a broad-based network that stimulates the contact between junior and senior researchers and in which all schools of economic thought are welcome to participate. EALE’s activities include the promotion of the study and application of labour economics, the formation of international groups concerned with research and teaching, and the organisation of international conferences to share knowledge for the purpose of high-quality research and teaching in the field of labour economics.
In addition, EALE has strong ties to other associations of labour economists with related scientific interests and purpose, such as SOLE-The Society of Labor Economists and AASLE-Asian & Australian Society of Labour Economics. EALE has more than 800 members from 25 countries. The EALE Office is located at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University, Maastricht
