Josefina López

Period active: 2007 – 2013

She graduated in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. She began a postgraduate course in Technologies of Postproduction at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña -UPC- Center for Image and Technology Multimedia (CITM). She then completed her studies with a postgraduate qualification in Pensar la Vanguardia and finalized the master’s program Pensar l’art d’avui and also obtained a master degree in Philosophy Filosofía Contemporánea: Tendencias y debates, from a cognitive perspective. All of this formation was at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona -UAB. In this same line she has participated in many academic seminaries, workshops and courses related with art, science and technology.
Some of her works was displayed at the Espai d’Arts in Granollers, Barcelona Mitomanies/en construcción, as a work of net art; at the Center of Contemporary Art, Arteleku, in San Sebastian with Thenetdreams as a work of net art; at the Festival of Maçanet with Avia explica’m un conte, installation art. She presented a photo exhibition for TV3 and Channel 33, Silence beyond Pain; Another photo exhibition, La mirada sin retorno, was held at Atendis, a private foundation for the mentally disabled; her short movie, Underground, was exhibited in the Assembly Hall of the University of Fine Arts. She also presented a video installation project Desdoblando, Esquizofrenia in the three-year period prior to the defence of her doctoral thesis.
