Dr. Lali Barriere

Lali Barrière has a PhD in Mathematics (UPC, 1999), and is a professor and researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Since 1993, she has been researching graph theory and communication algorithms. For some years now, her research has been focused on topics related to the creation and applications of mathematics and programming in art, an interest that has also been reflected in her teaching activity: in addition to mathematics, she teaches creative programming in the Multimedia Degree at the Center for Image and Multimedia Technology (UPC, Terrassa) and in the Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Innovation and Interactive Environments at the BAU school (Barcelona). She combines research and teaching at the University with digital art projects, musical projects and teaching outside the University.
