Stella Veciana is manager of scientific projects in the catalan Institute of Nanotechnology, she studied experimental art in Berlin, London, New York and Barcelona. In 1995 she received the prestigious scholarship from Germany the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) to study computer art at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is the author of the first doctoral thesis focused on the ACT, in spanish titled Research arts: the intersection of art, science and technology as a field of knowledge and action (2004). Veciana artistic activity began in 1991 with multimedia installations and kinetic art exhibiting in various galleries and museums in Europe: Berlin Kunstwerke, Berlinische Galerie, Martin-Gropius-Bau and Akademie der Künste, Kunsthalle Nürnberg, Lichthaus, Bremen, Deutsche Bank Galerie, Madrid / Barcelona, ??Pleiades Gallery, Athens, European Capital, Thessaloniki, etc. . In 1997 she started her career as lecturer and professor in the UB and UAB for the development of models for online master programs for the Graduate Institute, Madrid. Afterwards she worked  in the management of the Office for International Relations, Faculty of Fine Arts UB and coaching the Project in the coordination of ANECA (National Agency for Assessment and Accreditation). Since 2006 Veciana directs the management of scientific projects of the Institut Nanotechnology Catalan, ICN. She is member of the European Association of Research Management EARMA.
