Short bio

Associate professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) in the Department of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments. I did my PhD with international mention in Psychology at the University of Granada in 2012. I have done internships at different universities such as the University of Vigo, the University of Bologna and the Miguel Hernández University. I have been principal investigator of several research projects and I have obtained several awards oriented to scientific merit.

My lines of research are related to human sexuality. More specifically, I am interested in sexual functioning, sexual risk behaviors and sexual victimization. I am interested in new treatments in sexology, new ways to evaluate in sexology and the improvement of sexual health in general. In addition, I am a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Sexual Medicine. And I am on the advisory board of a condom company. And I have a YouTube channel (shots of R) where I spread the word about statistics.
