I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), which included an exchange program at the San Francisco de Quito University (USFQ) (Ecuador), and a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands). For the last four years I have been involved in assessing the accountability of petroleum corporations regarding environmental liabilities and their effect on the environment in the Peruvian context. I am currently working on updating an integrated spatial assessment model that constructs the first global atlas of unburnable oil resources and also working on the operationalisation of social and equity criteria in leaving fossil fuels underground. My various contributions have been approached from interdisciplinary methodologies, including geographical information systems, literature reviews, environmental forensics, and community-based monitoring systems.

I aim to understand the patterns of animal distribution in space and time and the processes that drive them, considering both extrinsic and intrinsic factors. The ultimate goal is to improve the prediction of their responses to environmental changes, with a particular focus on the dynamics of biological invasions

My main research line focuses on specialization and structuring as resilience modulators of large cetacean populations. Specifically, I am studying the potential drivers of fin whales baleen plate's isotopic variation in the North Atlantic, such as climate cycles and reproductive stage.

My research is focused in the study of the conservation status of the white gorgonian, Eunicella singularis, the only mixotroph gorgonian in the Mediterranean Sea. The main objective is to understand how the species responds to global change and to evaluate if any advantages exist in symbiotic species under global change in temperate seas using ecological, population, genetic, reproductive and ecophysiological approaches.

My research activity focuses on the study of the ecology and conservation of nocturnal raptors, specifically the common eagle owl (Bubo bubo) in humanized areas. I am interested in the role that second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs), as well as different trophic resources, play in the survival, landscape use and movement patterns of the common eagle owl in a highly anthropized environment of the NE Iberian Peninsula.
