Professor Germà Bel, full Professor of Economics at the University of Barcelona and Director of UB|IREA Institute, has been awarded an honorary doctorate in Economics by Masaryk University (Czech Republic) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public economics, political economy, and public policy analysis. The distinction honours his distinguished academic career, international research excellence, and longstanding commitment to scientific collaboration, particularly in the fields of public sector reform, regulation, infrastructure, and public services.
