Information for the student – Audiovisual Communication course curriuculum 2010

Introduction

 

The bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication prepares audiovisual professionals for a variety of roles: director, scriptwriter, producer, visual and sound production and post-production designer, researcher, corporate communications specialist and community manager.

The training is based on audiovisual language intended for informing, entertaining or persuading an audience through informative, artistic or advertising audiovisual products, and enables students to analyse, conceive and carry out audiovisual work with specific communicative goals.

This degree program offers comprehensive training in the competences of audiovisual professionals. It prepares students to use the technical instruments that are needed to create content, and trains them in devising and implementing innovative audiovisual projects, in various formats and supports (audiovisual, radio, sound, written and online contents).

The degree courses promote entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity through project-based learning. It also encourages participation in documentary and fiction film festivals, as well as contests for new audiovisual formats, and it fosters initiatives with social impact. Likewise, it promotes training of professionals with critical and analytical capacity, capable of studying and understanding the media and audiovisual products within the social, economic, political and cultural structure in which they are integrated.

The Faculty has two shooting studios, a sound editing room with a voice-over booth, radio facilities, computerized classrooms, video cameras, photographic equipment, accessories for filming, and a coworking space.
