Objectives

Schematically, the OSPDH:

• Observe, analyse and report on the operation of the institutions of the penal system (prisons, detention centres, detention centres for foreigners, courts, security forces).
• Contribute to the defence of human rights, increasingly threatened by security, surveillance and control policies.
• Ensure compliance with strict legality in the criminal system and work to promote its transparency.
• Give tools so that people and social organizations develop more power and have the necessary instruments in their fight for rights and freedoms.
