OMCT

World Organization Against Torture

The World Organization Against Torture works with 200 member organizations (among them the OSPDH) to eradicate torture and ill-treatment, give support to victims and protect human rights defenders in a situation of risk.

With its presence in more than 90 countries, it forms the largest global group of active struggle against torture. It works to protect the most vulnerable people from our societies, including women, children, indigenous peoples, migrants and other marginalized groups. In order to achieve this, the OMCT carry out incidence work in order to request to governments to better apply its rules and policies, or to create and design new ones, helping the victims to find justice and that those responsible are held accountable.
