The Faculty of Philology and Communication provides quality and prestigious research through the work of numerous groups and projects obtained in national and international competitive calls, research institutes and research and documentation centers. The Faculty's Research Committee (LINCAR) is the body in charge of defining, monitoring and evaluating the main lines of action in research. First edition of the International Congress Catalan Literature of Postmodernity (1968-2023)

The congress will be held between November 28 and December 1 and will be hosted at the Faculty of Philology and Communication and the Theater Institute. It will have the participation of university specialists from all over the world and aims to become a meeting point for researchers, writers and readers

From November 28 to December 1, the Faculty of Philology and Communication of the University of Barcelona and the Institut del Teatre will host the celebration of the first edition of the International Congress Catalan Literature of Postmodernity (1968-2023). The meeting, which was born with the purpose of being a meeting point between researchers, writers and readers, wants to deepen the knowledge of Catalan literature from the 1970s to the present day with the aim of finally establishing a general account capable of integrate the main transformative processes and the diversity of phenomena that have constituted it.

The congress has been convened by the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics of the University of Barcelona and the Department of Catalan Philology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​with the collaboration of the Association of Writers in the Catalan Language, the Institute of the Theatre, the Catalan PEN, the Institute of Catalan Letters and the Institute of Catalan Studies.

The sessions, which will take place at the University of Barcelona and the Institut del Teatre, will have the participation of university specialists from around the world and prestigious Catalan writers in the panorama of these decades in order to 'to establish the master lines of the study of Catalan literature. The presentations, communications and round tables that will take place will be organized in seven thematic blocks, detailed in the program. At the same time, the Mentrimentres podcast will follow the sessions, and will publish audios with comments, interviews and news that can be listened to openly. No registration is necessary to attend the sessions.
