In 1972, the first exchange agreement was established between the University of Illinois and the UB, to which the University of California joined in 1975. Within the framework of these two agreements, two types of exchange are offered: one for students and one for teachers.

Student exchange:

  • A certain number of undergraduate students from California universities can enroll, during an academic year, in first- and second-cycle courses at the UB and seminars on Catalan language and culture taught by the Faculty of Philology and Communication in exclusive for these students.
  • The corresponding calls are announced in the local press, on the bulletin boards of the program's headquarters at the Faculty of Philology and Communication and on its website around the month of November.
  • Information about studying at the University of California.
