Meteorology

The Master of Meteorology offers students the possibility of internships curriculum. Contribute to the integral formation of students and provide knowledge of a methodology suited to the professional. Favoring this way, students acquire practical experience to fit more easily in the labor market.

It formative activities that allow students to apply and complement the knowledge acquired in their education, enable the acquisition of skills in the face of professional activities, facilitate and promote the employability capacity entrepreneurship.

The practical part of the master academic content, they are considered an optional subject but must be approved to pass the course.

Depending on the profile of each person practices can be made in different companies and in different areas of the university centers.

The benefits of these practices are several external academic curriculum:

Until today our students have internships at:

• Meteorological Service of Catalonia (SMC)
• Televisió of Catalunya (TV3)
• METEOSIM. Company dedicated to the development and integration of applications derived from numerical modeling and numerical ocean.
• VORTEX. This company operates in the field of wind energy. The service offers the industry responds to the need to estimate the wind resource to determine the viability of wind farm projects implementation. Vortex aimed at the global market and is now a leader in the sector.
• IDAEA-CSIC. The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water aims at the study of natural and anthropogenic changes occurring in ecosystems.
• BSC. Barcelona Supercomputing Center, particularly the Department of Earth Sciences, where there are several lines of research closely related to meteorology and climate.
