This database takes into consideration all sources likely to provide information: administrative texts, ritual texts, documents from private archives, royal inscriptions, astronomical diaries, literary texts. Metadata levels considered for each document: place of discovery or alleged provenance (if known); current whereabouts (museum or inventory number); publication history and relevant URL of online repositories (CDLI, Oracc, etc.); type of document and literary genre; chronology; content; relationship with other texts.

 

Specific information to extract from the database:

 

– What places appear in the documents and what is the relationship between them?

 

– What trips are being referred to? In what context are they carried out? What routes and directions do they follow? How regularly and frequently are they carried out?

 

– What participants are mentioned, who are they and what role do they play?

 

– What divinities appear, where do they come from, what function do they perform?

 

– What other activities are referred to in association with cultic movement?
