Andrea obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. After that, she worked as a Project Technician in a small biotech company for more than one year and there she decided to continue her studies in the biomedicine field. Then, Andrea joined the Biomedical Translational Research Master programme and she carried out the Master thesis under the supervision of Dr Carles Galdeano. Later, she was granted with a national fellowship from the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (MICIU) and la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI) to conduct her PhD in the Targeted Protein Degradation Lab under the supervision of Dr Carles Galdeano and Dr Xavier Barril. Her work was focused on finding new strategies to modulate until now considered undrugabble targets. She defended her PhD thesis on October 2024.
