The UB community can access the lifting of lockdown and contingency plans of the University of Barcelona
The University of Barcelonaʼs plan on the lifting of lockdown anticipates the lifting to be done gradually, in phases, asymmetrically, considering the activity and physical condition of each centre, and according to the following action principles: first, following the directions of the competent authorities; second, guaranteeing the safety and health of the staff of the University; third, guaranteeing the provision of the public service of higher education the University has to command, through teaching, research and transfer, and last, guaranteeing that the students finish the studies.
The text was written considering the available information up to date, with the contribution of different fields of decision and management, and has been presented to the representatives of the prevention staff and deputies of the University of Barcelona for their participation. The plan is subject to modifications depending on how the pandemic evolves and the instructions and recommendations of the competent authorities.
Moreover, the Contingency plan for the lockdown lifting, written by the Health, Safety and Environmental Issues (OSSMA) of the UB, defines the conditions of safety and procedure to implement regarding the return to face-to-face activities in the facilities and buildings of the UB in the different phases. It is based on the knowledge and recommendations of the competent authorities, both from the health field and the labour field, and therefore can be modified of these recommendations change. Both plans will be completed with more content while the phases advance, specially regarding the phase 4.
